Kelly Ann Mitchell

Kelly Ann Mitchell is a photographic artist originally from Arizona, now based in Santa Barbara, California. As a freelance photographer since 2004, Mitchell established KM Photography and has embraced fine art, portraiture, and commercial clients. She holds an MFA in Photography from Academy of Art University with additional graduate coursework from Brooks Institute, and a BFA in Art and Visual Culture Education from the University of Arizona. She is a certificated photographic educator for the past decade and has had her work exhibited in Arizona, California, and Italy. As a member of the nationally recognized Society for Photographic Education, she is a recipient of the 2016 SPE National Conference Travel Grant. Mitchell’s photographic practices include traditional darkroom printing, alternative process surface treatments, and digital manipulated imagery. Her work often echoes themes of introspection, growing, and healing.
